Hubertus Ott has worked as a western trainer since the late 80s. In 1992 he became an EWU judge and later also an NRHA judge. He played a key role in the development of the EMU rule book and was known as a moderator and seminar leader for numerous courses and lectures. In addition to three other books, he has published numerous specialist articles.
Philipp Martin Haug, Germany's first western trainer "A" and owner of the Golden Riding Badge, has been working as a western trainer since the beginning of 1999. Through consistent, horse-friendly training, he was able to win countless gold medals in reining and working cowhorse at German and European championships with the horses he trained from the very beginning.
